The beautiful and talented Rhonda Zakor, owner of Rachel Z Boutique in Beverly Hills, hosted the launch of SITA Couture’s Spring 11’ collection, Safari Blossom for LA fashion week.
Presented by down town Julie Van, the evening brought out some of LA’s hippest fashionista’s, from the director of the LA’s Fashion Institute, to the founder of LA Gear, and star walk of fame movie star Sherry Jackson, to name a few. The night was a smashing success, and the collection was a super hit.

Design-star-studded evening for Fred Segals annual Boys and Girls club charity birthday dinner, where Fred gives back to the Malibu community he raised his children in.
Tickets to the Lakers, styles by the hippest LA designers, beauty accessories, spa treatments and fine art all went to the highest bidder.
A set of Neiman Marcus Lisa Carrier candles didn't even make to the public because Bobby the PR woman bought them before the bidder could start the bid!

I had the pleasure of working with Sita Thompson over the summer, shooting her latest fashion collection in Topanga Canyon California. SITA is a line of clothing both vintage, and contemporary. Perfectly arranged with organic blends of a variety of hand-loom weaves, jutes, organic cotton, raw silk, rayon chiffon’s, and boucle’s. The line represents wearability, international glamour and social fare trade consciousness. Gorgeous Time, Heavenly People!!
Our first official Summer Time trunk show was a smashing success. Sipping cucumber water and ice tea and shopping till would couldn't shop no more. Special guest Nurit Glass, head of the fashion dept at LATCC, walked away with 3 SITA originals from the first collection, along with an organic Boucle Hoodie, a tote bag and some Art Organic T's. Victoria Jackson scored the whole Art Organic Tshirt collection, along with some tote bags for her pup.

I was immediately intrigued when I got the invite for SITA’s Spring 2006 fashion show. I read that Sita Thompson was a LA model/Hollywood starlet, turned Bollywood celebrity who since moving to Bombay four years ago had been awarded numerous times over for her fashion statements in film, stage and presentation in India.
What did that mean? How did this translate into the west? I wanted to know…
